Lonewriter's Energy Site

We are all aware of how the oil companies maintain a strangle-hold on the industrialized nations with their monopolistic practices. Many people world-wide struggle to pay for fuel to run their vehicles or heat their homes. Many have developed sources of cleaner-burning, alternative energy for home and automotive use. Much of this technology is reasonably cheap and readily available to the average person, except that the information to implement it frequently is hard to obtain and/or suppressed. In keeping with Goal Number Two* (restated below), I offer the following links to alternative energy web sites. Most of these are in keeping with my stated policy of offering information relating to technology that the proactive reader can maybe implement one's-self.

*Goal Number 2 To increase awareness of technologies and scientific developments which the reader could use to improve his/her own situation. As much as possible, I either offer or point the reader to things which are commonly available and/or can be readily made with commonly available materials and tools.

Here are some of my favorite links - use this information wisely. I assume NO responsibility for ANY damages or injuries resulting from the use or misuse of the information contained in the following pages. With that, I hope you find some of this useful in your endeavors.

NEWLY ADDED: Designing and Using Solar Power Systems, by Lonewriter
Solaris Alternative Energy Site - Projects and Downloads
Simple, PRACTICAL Solar Engine Can be built by nearly anyone!
Home-made Hydrogen, fuel cells, ...
A Stirling Heat Engine to Build Small model - 0.5 Watts, maybe you could scale it up after experimenting with this design.
Live Steam Engines You can build Granted, these are NOT efficient like a Stirling, but they are doable for a stationary plant if you have a good fuel source.
Cold Fusion information - details on how to try it out yourself Does it work?? You be the judge! PLEASE let me know what you find if you do it!
A New Light on Solar Cooking Modern solar stoves and ovens for cheap, clean cooking.
Homemade Wind Power Plant Get plans for an easily built, inexpensive windmill generator.

Whatever type of engine you build, if you generate low voltage electricity and store it in batteries, you will need a power inverter to change it to 110 Vac for your appliances!
A good brand of power inverter, IMHO
